New Lay Worship Leaders Underway

Towards the end of 2012 six people from Netherlorn – Jean Alexander, Pat Barclay, Fiona Cruikshanks,Phil Moss, Maura Rae and Myra Waddell – completed the Presbytery of Argyll lay worship leader training. During the first quarter of 2012 they are starting to take a share in the leadership of worship. First to step up was Phil Moss who shared with minister Ken Ross in the conduct of worship at Craignish and Kilninver on 13 January 2012. We look forward to our worship being enriched by all that our new worship leaders will bring to it.

Despatches to Bemvu

The Netherlorn Churches have despatched a new year good wishes package to their partner congregation at Bemvu in Malawi. Taken by the kind hand of Bridget Baker of Ardfern, who will be spending eight weeks in Malawi, the package includes an album of photos showing Advent and Christmas worship in Netherlorn, a Celtic cross wall-hanging and some Scotland-Malawi lapel badges.

Bemvu – Next Steps

Kilmelford Village Hall on Friday 26 October 2012 saw people from all the Netherlorn Churches coming together to celebrate their partnership with Bemvu congregation in Malawi. A superb night of Malawi cuisine was enjoyed by all. Suggested next steps are for Netherlorn folk to get into one-to-one correspondence with someone in Bemvu. Developing personal links will deepen the relationship. Anyone interested in “making friends” with someone in Bemvu should contact Phil Moss on 01852 300383.
