Xplorer Fun at Easter

The kids had fun decorating then rolling their eggs and also made windmills!

Good luck and bon voyage

We said a fond farewell to Hester and Ken on Sunday with a very enjoyable bring & share lunch and speeches from Martin Waddell, Chris Thornhill and Georgina Dalton on behalf of each congregation.  As a token of our thanks and as a goodbye gift we presented them with a Colin Prior Photo, a generous cheque from the Netherlorn congregation and a card signed by everybody who was there.  It was a great day!  We will miss them but wish them all the very best on this new exciting venture.

Alison Hay will be the Interim Moderator for Netherlorn Churches until a new minister is appointed.  Will will keep you updated on progress.  In the meantime here are some photos of the day.

Thanks to Hazel for the photos.

Xplorer’s report, 2nd December

A lively group of 6 children met at the Church at 4pm to listen to the story of the Angel appearing to Mary.  The first Sunday of Advent candle was lit and the tree decorated.  The main focus of the gathering was making the Christingles and some extra ones were made to take home to brothers.
Turning off the bright top lights and switching on the Christmas tree lights at the beginning of the Prayz time led to the lighting of the Christingle candles and so created a soft warm light of hope and the expectations of the joy of Christmas.
Becky helped Ken lead the Prayz time.  Sadly we bid her a fond farewell as she is moving to Hexham where her husband Ally has a new job.  She leaves with the exciting news that she is expecting their first baby and we all wished her good health and happiness and many thanks for her support and ideas for Xplorers.
