Here are just a few photos of all the celebrations that have been taking place in the last week in the run up to Christmas.
Kilmelford Community Celebration enjoyed carols, a Christmas tale from Shian, a Christmas story from Heather and a beautiful solo from a lady from South Africa. The band entertained us throughoutht the evening not only with Carols but a fun 12 Days of Christmas complete with actions. We rounded off with a rousing We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
Myra and Maura told the Christmas Story doing Godly Play at the Carols by Candlelight service at Kilbrandon.
People enjoying mulled wine and nibbles in Kilbrandon. Everyone helped make a Christmas wreath round the table and helped tell the story by bringing parts forward.
The Nativity service at Kilbrandon saw Mary and Joseph come in and face an irate innkeeper.
The Shepherds then came in and woke him up, followed by two wise men, one on a motorbike and one in a car, then an Angel woke him up too, poor fellow.
The innkeeper mellowed when he saw the baby Jesus and knocked on everyone else’s doors to tell them the good news.
